NTA Expected to Open CMAT 2027 Registration in Mid-October

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to initiate the admission process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027. According to recent indications, the official notification and the commencement of the online registration process are expected to take place by the second week of October. This timeline aligns with the agency's previous examination cycles, providing a consistent window for prospective MBA students to begin their application journey.

As a national-level entrance examination, CMAT serves as a gateway for admission into more than 1,300 management institutions across India, including government, government-aided, and private colleges. With the registration window typically remaining open for approximately one month, candidates are advised to monitor the official NTA website for the formal announcement and the activation of the application portal.

Eligibility and Application Details

To be eligible for the CMAT 2027 examination, candidates must hold a graduation degree. The NTA has specified that there is no minimum marks requirement for eligibility, and students currently in their final year of graduation are also permitted to register and appear for the test. The entire application process is conducted exclusively through an online portal, where candidates will be required to create a unique login to complete their submission.

The registration process involves a category-based fee structure. For male candidates under the General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories, the application fee is set at INR 2,500. For female candidates in these categories, as well as all candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PWD categories, the fee is INR 1,250. Transgender applicants are also required to pay an application fee of INR 1,250.

Tentative Examination Schedule

While the NTA is expected to release the official schedule shortly, tentative dates have been outlined for the upcoming examination cycle. Following the registration period, which is projected to run from the third week of October through the last week of November 2026, the admit card release is anticipated for the third week of January 2027. The examination itself is tentatively scheduled for January 24, 2027.

Following the conclusion of the exam, the answer key is expected to be released in the last week of January 2027, with the final results projected to be announced in the second week of February 2027. Candidates are encouraged to keep a close watch on official NTA communications for any updates or changes to these tentative dates as the registration period approaches.
