
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has officially released the seat matrix for the first round of Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026. This year, a total of 2,009 seats are available for aspiring medical students, comprising both MBBS and BDS programs. According to the released matrix, there are 1,870 MBBS seats and 139 BDS seats available in Odisha. The choice filling facility for Odisha NEET has commenced, allowing candidates to select their desired institutions based on the available seats.
The deadline for submitting choices is set for August 17, 2026, making it crucial for candidates to act promptly. The seat matrix includes a breakdown of seats by college type, with government MBBS seats totaling 1,147 (including 425 for Economically Weaker Sections), government BDS seats at 54, and private institutions offering 298 MBBS and 85 BDS seats.
Notable institutions listed in the seat matrix include SCB Medical College in Cuttack, which offers 212 MBBS seats, and MKCG Medical College in Berhampur, also with 212 MBBS seats. Other colleges such as VIMSAR in Burla and Hitech Medical College in Bhubaneswar contribute to the overall seat availability, ensuring a range of options for candidates across the state.
