The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced a revised schedule for the Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) for CEN 09/2025. The examination will now take place over a span of 16 days, from August 3 to 6, August 9 to 14, August 17 to 21, and August 25, 2026. This update is crucial for candidates preparing for various Level 1 posts within the Indian Railways, and they are encouraged to check the official websites of their respective RRBs for further details.

In a recent notification, RRBs emphasized the importance of Aadhaar verification for candidates. Those who completed the Aadhaar verification during the application process must ensure that their Aadhaar remains unlocked in the UIDAI system prior to reporting to the exam center. This precaution is intended to prevent any delays during the registration and biometric verification processes on the day of the exam.

Ten days before the scheduled exam dates, RRBs will activate the exam city slip and travel authority download link for SC/ST candidates. This information can be accessed through the official railway websites. Additionally, candidates can expect to download their admit cards approximately four days before their respective exam dates. The examination authority will assign test centers based on candidates' preferences, although it retains the right to make final allocations.

The RRB Group D exam is a significant recruitment initiative aimed at filling Level 1 positions within the Indian Railways. The salary for these posts ranges from INR 22,500 to 25,380, depending on the location of the posting. The basic pay for RRB Group D employees is set at INR 18,000, as per the Seventh Pay Commission, which serves as a motivating factor for many aspirants. The salary structure varies by city, with additional allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) contributing to the overall compensation.

As candidates prepare for the upcoming exam, RRBs have issued a reminder to carry two original identity documents to the exam center, including one that matches the photo ID submitted during the application process. Failure to present the required documents will result in disqualification from the exam. Furthermore, RRBs have cautioned against fraudulent individuals claiming to offer jobs in exchange for money, reiterating that selection will be based solely on candidates' performance in the CBT and merit, with no external influences permitted in the recruitment process.
