The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to announce the results for the 2026 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) preliminary examination in October. Candidates who participated in the recruitment drive, which took place on September 26 and 27, 2026, are currently awaiting the official notification to determine if they have qualified for the next stage of the selection process.
While the bank has not yet provided a fixed date for the declaration of results, the anticipated timeline suggests an announcement within a few weeks of the examination. It is important for candidates to note that the exact duration between the exam and the result release can vary based on the bank's internal processing requirements for candidate responses and result compilation. Official updates will be published exclusively on the bank's dedicated careers website at sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings.
Once the results are officially declared, candidates will be able to verify their qualifying status by visiting the official SBI careers portal. After navigating to the Current Openings section, applicants should locate the link corresponding to the Junior Associates recruitment under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17. The result will be provided in a PDF format containing the roll numbers of those shortlisted for the Mains examination. Candidates are advised to download and save this document for their records.
The recruitment process for the Junior Associate position consists of two primary stages: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination. Only those who successfully clear the preliminary round will be eligible to proceed to the Mains. Following the Mains, the selection process includes a verification of eligibility and a mandatory local language proficiency test. It is worth noting that the marks obtained in the Main Examination are the primary criteria used for final selection.
Along with the result, the State Bank of India will release individual scorecards for candidates. These documents will be accessible online through the official portal by entering the required login credentials and a security captcha. The scorecard will provide comprehensive details, including the candidate's name, roll number, category, section-wise marks, overall scores, and the applicable cut-off marks. The bank does not issue hard copies of scorecards via post.
The examination structure for the preliminary stage comprises 100 questions, while the Mains examination consists of 190 questions. The scoring system includes a negative marking component, where one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question are deducted for every incorrect answer. Conversely, each correct answer is awarded one mark. Candidates should monitor the official SBI website regularly for the most accurate and timely information regarding the release of the results and subsequent examination schedules.
