SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 Exam Dates Announced: Check Full Schedule

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the examination schedule for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination for 2026. According to the latest notification, the commission will conduct the computer-based examination (CBE) over a one-month period, starting from September 30 and concluding on October 30, 2026.

Candidates who have successfully registered for the recruitment drive can access the detailed exam schedule by visiting the official website at ssc.gov.in. This recruitment cycle aims to fill 12,256 tentative vacancies across various Group B and Group C positions within central government departments and affiliated organizations.

SSC CGL 2026 Exam Structure and Admit Card Details

With the examination window set to open on September 30, candidates are advised to prepare for the release of their admit cards. While the official release date for hall tickets has not been confirmed, it is anticipated that the commission will make them available for download during the final week of September. To retrieve their admit cards once they are live, applicants will need to log in to the official portal using their registered credentials.

The Tier 1 examination will follow a structured format consisting of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. The paper is divided into four distinct sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section contains 25 questions.

In line with the current exam pattern, the total duration for the test is one hour. Candidates should note that there is a mandatory sectional timing of 15 minutes allotted for each of the four subjects.
