The registration window for the Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET) 2026 counselling process is set to close today, September 2. Candidates who have qualified for admission into various postgraduate and integrated courses are required to complete their online registration and certificate verification through the official portal, cpgetadmissions.com, before the midnight deadline.

Initiated by Kakatiya University on August 24, the current phase of the counselling process is a critical step for students aiming to secure seats in participating institutions. Completion of the registration and verification process is mandatory for all eligible candidates who wish to proceed to the subsequent stages of the admission cycle, including the exercise of web options and final seat allocation.

Key Dates and Counselling Schedule for Phase 1

Following the conclusion of the registration period today, the admission process will move into the verification and preference-setting stages. Candidates who have submitted their documents will have the opportunity to review their verification details and request corrections, if necessary, via email support on September 5. The window for candidates to exercise their web options—selecting their preferred courses and colleges—is scheduled to open from September 8 to September 10.

Should any candidate need to make adjustments to their submitted web options, an editing window will be provided on September 11. The results of the first phase of seat allotment are slated for release on September 14. Successful candidates will then be required to report to their respective allotted colleges by September 18 to finalize their admission.

Registration Fees and Seat Allocation Criteria

To participate in the counselling process, candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee. The fee structure is tiered based on the candidate's category: students belonging to the BC/OBC categories are required to pay Rs. 250, while candidates from the SC/ST/PH categories must pay Rs. 200. Failure to complete the payment and verification steps by the deadline will preclude candidates from participating in the current phase.

The final seat allotment will be determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's rank in the entrance examination, their category, and the specific preferences submitted during the web options phase. All allocations will strictly adhere to the reservation policies established by Kakatiya University, which include specific quotas for local and non-local candidates, as well as designated percentages for various social categories. Following the conclusion of the first phase, the university has outlined plans for subsequent counselling rounds, with the second phase registration beginning on September 19 and the final phase scheduled for October 2026.
