The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Telangana has announced the details for the TS ICET 2026 spot admissions, providing essential information regarding the admission schedule, eligibility criteria, and required documentation. This initiative aims to fill the remaining vacancies in MBA and MCA programs across participating institutes in the state. Interested candidates are advised to directly contact the Principal of their chosen institutions for further assistance.

According to the official notification, the college-wise, course-wise, and category-wise vacancy details will be made available on the DTE's official website, tgicet.nic.in, on August 27, 2026. The spot admission process is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 3, 2026. This process is crucial for candidates who have qualified in the TG ICET 2026 examination, as they will be given priority for the leftover seats.

Eligibility for the spot admissions requires candidates to have achieved a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in their qualifying degree for open category applicants, while those from BC, SC, and ST categories must have at least 45 percent. Should there still be unfilled vacancies, candidates without a TG ICET 2026 rank who meet the minimum aggregate criteria will also be considered for admission. Additionally, candidates with degrees from universities outside Telangana must secure an equivalency certificate from a recognized university in the state prior to admission.

To participate in the spot admission process, candidates must present all original certificates for verification. It is important to note that candidates without their original documents will not be allowed to proceed with the admission. After the verification process, original documents will be returned, and candidates are required to submit one set of photocopies along with their original Transfer Certificate (T.C).

The processing fees for the spot admissions are set at INR 1300 for candidates who have qualified in the TG ICET 2026, while those who have not qualified will need to pay INR 2100. It is important to highlight that fee reimbursement will not be applicable for candidates admitted through the institutional spot admissions process. This initiative is expected to streamline the admission process and ensure that all available seats are filled efficiently.
