Osmania University has officially released the seat allotment results for the second phase of the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) 2026. The results, made available on August 29, mark a critical stage for students seeking admission into various 3-year and 5-year LLB and LLM programs across participating institutions in the state.

Candidates who participated in the second phase of counselling can now view their allotment status by logging into the official portal using their required credentials. As the nodal university conducting the examination on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Osmania University has outlined specific procedures for those who have been successfully allotted a seat.

Action Plan for Allotted Candidates

Following the declaration of the Phase 2 results, candidates are presented with two primary options regarding their admission status. Those satisfied with their allotted college must proceed with the mandatory admission formalities. This includes paying the required admission fee online and physically reporting to the allotted college for the verification of documents and tuition fee payment. These steps must be completed between August 31 and September 5 to confirm the seat.

Alternatively, candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allocated to them during this phase have the option to decline the offer. To do so, they must submit an application for cancellation to the principal or the designated admission controller of the institution. Candidates choosing this route are advised to wait for the commencement of the TS LAWCET Phase 3 counselling process, where they will have another opportunity to register and participate for a preferred seat.

Eligibility and Background Context

The TS LAWCET serves as the gateway for law admissions in Telangana, with distinct eligibility criteria based on the course level. For the 3-year LL.B. program, applicants must hold a graduate degree under the 10+2+3 pattern, while the 5-year LL.B. program requires candidates to have completed their intermediate examination under the 10+2 pattern. Qualifying marks for the entrance exam are set at 35% (42 out of 120 marks) for General and OBC category candidates, while no minimum qualifying marks are mandated for SC and ST category applicants.
