UCEED 2027 Registration Deadline Approaching: Key Dates and Application Details

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is set to conclude the regular registration period for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2027 on October 31, 2026. Prospective students aiming to secure a seat in the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at participating institutions are encouraged to finalise their applications through the official portal at uceed.iitb.ac.in before the deadline expires.

For those who are unable to meet the initial cutoff, the institute has provided a secondary window. Candidates may still submit their applications until November 6, 2026, though this late registration will incur an additional fee of INR 500. Officials have advised applicants to complete the process well in advance to mitigate the risk of encountering last-minute technical difficulties on the website.

Application Process and Fee Structure

The application procedure for UCEED 2027 requires candidates to provide comprehensive personal and academic information. As part of the submission, applicants must upload necessary documentation, including a photograph, signature, and proof of age. After entering the required details and selecting their preferred examination centres, candidates must process the registration fee online to complete their submission.

The registration fee is structured based on the candidate's category and nationality. For Indian nationals, female candidates across all categories, as well as those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories, are required to pay a fee of INR 2,000. Other Indian candidates must pay a fee of INR 4,000. It is important to note that all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and any applicable bank charges or processing fees are separate from the base registration cost.

Examination Schedule and Participating Institutes

Following the conclusion of the registration process, the examination is scheduled to take place on January 17, 2027. The test will be held in a single session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Candidates who have successfully registered will be able to download their admit cards starting January 1, 2027. The final results for the entrance examination are currently slated for declaration on March 6, 2027.

The UCEED 2027 examination serves as the gateway for admission to B.Des programmes at several prestigious institutions.
