The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination, specifically covering the subjects of English, Commerce, and Sociology. This announcement follows the re-conduct of these papers, which took place on September 9 and 10, 2026, in accordance with the agency's earlier directives.
Candidates who participated in these specific re-exams can now access their individual scorecards, the final answer keys, and the category-wise cutoff marks by visiting the official NTA website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The portal has been updated to include the result notice and all relevant documentation for the three subjects.
According to the data provided by the NTA, the re-examination saw a significant turnout. Out of the 1,96,491 candidates who had registered for the English, Commerce, and Sociology papers, a total of 1,20,355 candidates appeared for the test. The registration data highlights a diverse applicant pool, with 1,29,552 female candidates, 66,931 male candidates, and 8 candidates identifying as third gender.
The results indicate that a substantial number of participants have met the eligibility criteria across the three qualification categories. A total of 824 candidates have successfully qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Furthermore, 11,610 candidates have qualified for the Assistant Professor position, while 23,154 candidates have qualified for the PhD-only category.
To view their results, candidates should navigate to the official UGC NET website and locate the link labeled for the June 2026 Re-Exam Score Card. Upon clicking the link, users will be prompted to enter their application number and password. Once the details are submitted, the scorecard will be displayed on the screen, allowing candidates to verify their qualifying status and download the document for their records.
In addition to the individual scorecards, the NTA has made the category-wise cutoff marks publicly available. Candidates are advised to review these cutoffs alongside their results to better understand their performance relative to the requirements for their specific subject and category. No further action is required at this stage other than downloading the necessary documents from the official portal.
