The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conclude the registration process for the UGC NET December 2026 examination tomorrow, October 31, 2026. Candidates who intend to appear for this cycle must ensure their application forms are submitted and the examination fee is paid by 11:50 PM on the final day. The entire process is conducted exclusively through the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
As the deadline nears, the NTA has reported significant participation, with over 9.60 lakh registrations recorded. Out of these, more than 7.91 lakh candidates have successfully completed the fee payment process. While the agency previously extended the initial deadline from October 28 to October 31, there have been no official announcements regarding any further extensions. Consequently, prospective applicants are advised to treat the current date as the final opportunity to register.
To register for the examination, candidates must visit the official portal and access the designated application link for the December 2026 cycle. The process requires candidates to provide necessary personal and academic details, upload required documentation, and complete the payment of the examination fee. It is essential for applicants to verify all entered information before final submission to avoid errors.
Following the closure of the registration window, the NTA has scheduled an application correction period. This window will be active from November 2 to November 4, 2026. During these dates, candidates will have the opportunity to edit specific details in their submitted forms, as per the official instructions provided by the testing agency. Candidates are encouraged to monitor the official website regularly for any updates regarding the correction process or subsequent examination schedules.
