VIT Bhopal University recently hosted its 7th Annual Convocation, marking a significant milestone for 3571 students who successfully completed their undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies. The ceremony served as a formal recognition of the academic achievements of the graduating class, which included a diverse range of disciplines from engineering to business administration.

The event was graced by former Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi (Retd.), who attended as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director at IN-SPACe, who served as the Guest of Honour. During the proceedings, 21 students were honoured with Gold Medals for their exceptional academic performance across various fields, including artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, and computer science.

Placement Success and Institutional Milestones

The university reported robust career outcomes for the graduating batch, noting that over 80% of students have already secured job placements. A highlight of the recruitment season was the achievement of a top salary package of 70 LPA. Furthermore, the institution noted that more than 700 graduates received prestigious Dream and Super Dream job offers, reflecting the competitive nature of the opportunities available to the students.

The graduating cohort comprised 3062 BTech students, 156 Integrated MTech students, 142 MCA students, 72 MTech students, 48 BBA students, 30 MBA students, and 38 PhD scholars. These graduates are now part of a broader network of over 200,000 VIT alumni worldwide. Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan also used the occasion to underscore the university's commitment to inclusive education, highlighting the success of the VIT STARS scheme, which supported 31 rural district toppers with full scholarships covering their tuition, lodging, and meals.

Addressing the newly minted graduates, General Upendra Dwivedi spoke on the essential qualities required for professional success, identifying attitude, ability, and adaptability as the three pillars for building a meaningful career. He stressed the importance of leadership and discipline in the modern workforce.

Echoing these sentiments, Dr. Vinod Kumar encouraged the graduates to leverage their technical knowledge to address complex real-world challenges.
