The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has officially commenced the reporting and joining phase for candidates who have been allotted MBBS or BDS seats in the first round of the state's NEET UG 2026 counselling. Students who have successfully secured a seat are now required to complete their admission formalities at their respective allotted medical or dental colleges.
This phase marks a critical step in the admission process, requiring candidates to physically appear at their designated institutions to finalize their enrollment. The DGME has emphasized that the admission process is only considered complete once a candidate has successfully undergone document verification and fulfilled all fee payment requirements mandated by the college.
To ensure a smooth admission process, candidates must first download their official seat allotment letter from the designated UP NEET counselling portal. This document is mandatory for reporting to the allotted college. Upon arrival, students are expected to present the allotment letter along with their NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard to the college authorities.
The verification process requires candidates to carry both original certificates and multiple photocopies of all relevant documents. The list of required paperwork includes the Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates, a valid photo identification proof, and recent passport-sized photographs. Furthermore, candidates must provide their UP NEET UG 2026 registration form and any applicable category, domicile, EWS, or PwD certificates as specified in the official counselling guidelines.
The DGME has advised candidates to complete these formalities promptly to secure their allotted seats. The process involves a thorough verification of the submitted original documents against the records provided during the registration phase. Following verification, candidates are required to pay the applicable admission or tuition fees as determined by the institution.
Once the document verification is successful and the fee payment is processed, candidates should ensure they obtain formal confirmation of their admission or joining from the institution. The authorities have reminded students that failure to complete these steps within the designated timeframe may impact their seat allocation. Candidates are encouraged to review the specific instructions provided by their allotted college to ensure they have all necessary documentation ready for the reporting process.
