The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has officially commenced the registration process for the VITEEE 2027 entrance examination. Prospective students seeking admission into the university's BTech programs can now access the application portal through the official website at viteee.vit.ac.in. The application window is open, and candidates are required to submit their forms by the deadline of March 31, 2027.
Following the registration phase, the university has scheduled the computer-based entrance test to take place between April 28 and May 2, 2027. Applicants are encouraged to complete their registration well in advance, as the university does not provide a correction facility for submitted forms. It is essential for candidates to ensure all personal and educational details are accurate before final submission.
To participate in the examination, candidates must first register on the official portal to generate their unique login credentials. The application process involves filling out personal and academic information, including class 10th details, uploading a real-time photograph and signature, and submitting the required documentation. The university has set the application fee at INR 1450 for all categories, while NRI applicants are required to pay a fee of USD 90. This fee is non-refundable and can be processed via various digital payment methods, including net banking, credit cards, debit cards, and UPI.
For the 2027-28 academic session, VIT has introduced significant modifications to the entrance examination structure. The test will now be conducted over a duration of two hours, with the total marks for the examination reduced to 400. The updated pattern includes a specific distribution of questions: 25 questions each for Physics and Chemistry, and 5 questions each for the English and Aptitude sections. Furthermore, the university has implemented a new sectional time limit policy to manage the examination flow.
Under the revised guidelines, candidates must adhere to specific time allocations for each subject section. The allotted time is 50 minutes for Mathematics, 30 minutes for Physics, 30 minutes for Chemistry, and 10 minutes for the English and Aptitude sections. Students are advised to review these changes carefully to prepare effectively for the upcoming computer-based test. All further updates regarding the examination schedule and admit card releases will be communicated through the official VIT website.
