The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially released the seat allocation results for the first round of Phase 1 decentralised counselling (DCAP) for the 2026 academic session. Candidates who participated in this process can now access their allocation status by logging into the official website at wbjeeb.co.in using their registered credentials.
The allocation list has been compiled based on the combined merit list for the decentralised counselling process, which is specifically structured for each individual college, institute, and stream combination. As per the board's guidelines for this session, candidates were not required to submit choices based on personal preferences during the initial application phase.
To transition from a seat allocation to a formal allotment, candidates are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 2000. This payment must be completed online through the official portal using net banking, a credit card, or a debit card. The deadline for completing this transaction is 11:59 PM on September 12, 2026. Once the payment is successfully processed, candidates will be able to download a system-generated Provisional Admission Receipt.
Following the fee payment, candidates must proceed to their allotted institute for physical document verification. This mandatory step must be completed by 6:30 PM on September 13, 2026. Failure to complete either the fee payment or the physical verification within the stipulated timeframes may result in the forfeiture of the allocated seat.
For candidates who were not successful in securing a seat during the first round, the board has confirmed that they remain eligible for the Phase 1 Round 2 of the decentralised counselling process. It is important to note that no fresh choice filling will be permitted for the second round.
Additionally, candidates who have been allocated a seat but are not satisfied with the outcome have the option to apply for an upgradation. To be eligible for this, such candidates must still complete the mandatory fee payment and physical document verification process within the designated deadlines. Further updates regarding the counselling schedule will be provided by the board through its official portal.
