Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, has officially commenced the spot round admission process for its B.Tech programs for the 2026 academic session. The institute has released the provisional merit list and the updated seat matrix, which are now available for review on the official website, vjti.ac.in.

This phase of the admission process is specifically designed to fill remaining vacancies following the completion of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds. A total of 89 seats have been identified for this spot round, and candidates are being called for seat allotment based on their merit ranks.

Reporting Schedule and Admission Procedures

Candidates who appear on the provisional merit list are required to report physically to the VJTI main building to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. The institute has implemented a structured time-slot system based on merit numbers to ensure an orderly admission flow for all attendees.

The reporting schedule for the first day, September 11, 2026, is divided into specific blocks: candidates with merit numbers 1 to 500 are scheduled between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM, followed by 501 to 1500 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Subsequent slots continue throughout the day, with merit numbers 1501 to 3000 at 12:30 PM, 3001 to 5000 at 1:30 PM, 5001 to 7000 at 2:30 PM, 7001 to 9000 at 3:30 PM, and candidates with merit number 9001 and onwards scheduled for 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Essential Requirements for Candidates

During the reporting process, candidates must be prepared to complete several mandatory steps to secure their admission. This includes the verification of original documents as specified by the State CET Cell, along with the submission of a complete set of self-attested photocopies. It is important to note that any seats remaining vacant after the standard CAP rounds will be filled by candidates belonging to the same category for which the seat was originally earmarked.

In addition to document verification, candidates must be ready to pay the required institute admission fees via a Demand Draft. Upon successful verification and payment, the seat will be allotted based on current availability, and the institute will issue an official allotment letter to confirm the candidate's admission. Applicants are advised to review the detailed reporting guidelines and the document checklist provided on the official VJTI website prior to their arrival on campus.
