WBJEE 2026: Phase 1 Round 1 Decentralised Counselling Seat Allocation Released Today

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is scheduled to announce the seat allocation results for the Phase 1 Round 1 of the decentralised counselling process today, September 11, 2026. Candidates who have participated in the process can access their allocation status exclusively through the official website at wbjeeb.co.in. According to the official notification, the results are expected to be published at 10:30 AM.

To view the allocation status, students will need to log in to the official portal using their required credentials. The board has emphasised that the online portal is the only official channel for disseminating these results, and no other mode of communication will be utilised for the declaration of seat allotments.

Seat Acceptance and Upgradation Procedures

Candidates who receive a seat allocation must proceed with the necessary formalities to secure their position. To confirm the allotted seat, candidates are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 2000. It is recommended that students have their payment details prepared in advance to ensure a smooth and timely completion of the process once the results are live.

For those who may not be satisfied with their initial allocation, the board provides an option for upgradation to the second round of the decentralised counselling process. However, eligibility for this upgradation is strictly conditional. To qualify, candidates must pay the required fee, report physically to the designated centre, complete the document verification process, and obtain formal admission confirmation. Failure to complete these mandatory steps will result in the candidate being ineligible for the subsequent round of upgradation.

Candidates who do not receive an allotment in the first round will be automatically considered for the second round of counselling. To facilitate the physical reporting and verification process, candidates should ensure they have all necessary documentation ready, including their 10th-grade admit card or birth certificate for age verification, 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets, and any applicable certificates such as domicile, category, PwD, or income certificates.
