The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has officially opened the registration window for the second round of the WB NEET UG 2026 counselling process. This phase is intended for students seeking admission into MBBS and BDS programmes across various government and private medical and dental colleges within the state.

Candidates who are eligible to participate in this round are required to complete their online registration through the official WBMCC website at wbmcc.nic.in. The committee has set a strict deadline for this process, with the registration window closing on September 9, 2026, at 6 PM. It is essential for applicants to adhere to this timeline to ensure their participation in the seat allotment process.

Key Dates and Counselling Schedule

Following the recent revision of the counselling schedule by the Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal, several critical dates have been established for the second round. The registration and online fee payment window remains open from September 7 through September 9, 2026. Once registration concludes, the candidate verification process is scheduled to take place over three days, from September 8 to September 10, 2026.

For those who may need to adjust their previous choices, the online seat surrender window is set for September 11 and 12. Following this, the committee will publish the list of verified candidates and the updated seat matrix on September 12, after 4 PM. The fresh choice filling and locking process will then commence on September 12 at 6 PM and continue until 10 AM on September 14. The final seat allotment results for the second round are expected to be released after 6 PM on September 15, with the subsequent reporting and admission period scheduled for September 16, 17, and 18, 2026.

Registration Procedure and Scope

The WBMCC counselling process encompasses 85% of the state quota seats for MBBS and BDS programmes in government medical and dental institutions. Additionally, the process covers state, management, and NRI quota seats in private medical colleges, as well as state and management quota seats in private dental colleges.

To register, candidates should navigate to the UG Medical & Dental Counselling section on the official website. After entering their NEET UG credentials and personal details, applicants must complete the registration form and pay the required counselling fee. It is important to note that only those candidates who appear on the verified list published on September 12 will be eligible to proceed with the choice filling and locking stage. Students are advised to carefully arrange their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority during this window.
