XLRI Opens Second Official XAT 2027 Mock Test Window

XLRI Jamshedpur has officially opened the window for the second XAT 2027 mock test, providing registered candidates with an opportunity to evaluate their exam readiness. The assessment period began on September 30 and will remain accessible to eligible students until October 1, 2026.

This mock test is specifically designed for individuals who completed their XAT 2027 registration by the September 27, 2026 deadline. By participating in this simulation, candidates can familiarize themselves with the online interface and the structure of the actual examination, which is scheduled to take place on January 3, 2027.

Accessing the XAT 2027 Mock Test

To participate in the mock assessment, eligible candidates are required to log in to their official XAT dashboard at xatonline.in. Access links have also been distributed to registered students via email and WhatsApp. The initiative is part of XLRI’s effort to help aspirants gauge their current preparation levels and refine their strategies in the final months leading up to the entrance exam.

The mock test mirrors the format of the actual XAT, featuring 95 questions divided into four distinct sections: Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The total duration for the test is 180 minutes. The marking scheme awards one mark for each correct answer, while incorrect responses incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. Additionally, a deduction of 0.10 marks applies for every instance of more than eight consecutive unattempted questions, though the General Knowledge section remains exempt from negative marking.

Exam Preparation and Registration Timeline

Beyond the mock test, XLRI provides resources such as a downloadable syllabus PDF to assist students in planning their topic-wise preparation. Candidates are reminded that the registration process for the XAT 2027 exam is currently active. Those who have not yet applied for the entrance test must complete their registration and submit the required fees by the final deadline of December 6, 2026.
