KLEE 2026: Option Registration for Three-Year LLB Stray Vacancy Round Begins

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has officially commenced the option registration process for the stray vacancy round of the KLEE 2026 three-year LLB admissions. This phase is designed to fill seats that remain vacant or have become available following the previous vacant seat allotment process. Eligible candidates are required to register their fresh options through the official CEE Kerala website to be considered for this round.

The deadline for completing the option registration is October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to this timeline, as the CEE has not yet released the specific schedule for the subsequent allotment and the mandatory college joining period. These details, including the final allotment results, will be published by the authorities in a separate notification.

Eligibility and Participation Rules for Stray Vacancy Round

Participation in the stray vacancy round is restricted to candidates who are currently included in the KLEE 2026 three-year LLB rank list and meet the necessary eligibility criteria. It is important to note that candidates who have already secured admission or received an allotment in the previous vacant seat allotment phase are ineligible to participate in this or any subsequent rounds. Furthermore, the CEE has clarified that any seat allotted during this stray vacancy phase is final and cannot be changed at a later date.

To participate, candidates must pay a non-refundable option registration fee. The fee is set at INR 1,000 for general category candidates, while eligible SC, ST, and OEC candidates, as well as those from Juvenile, Nirbhaya, and Sreechithra Homes, are required to pay INR 500. When registering, candidates are encouraged to account for potential vacancies that may arise due to category conversions, as these will also be filled during this process.

Admission Procedures and Documentation

Once the allotment results are published, candidates who are assigned a seat must report to their respective allotted institutions within the timeframe stipulated by the CEE. Failure to join within the designated period may result in the forfeiture of the seat. At the time of reporting, students are required to present all original certificates and relevant documentation for verification. Additionally, candidates must be prepared to pay the applicable tuition fees, deposits, and other institutional charges at the time of admission.

The CEE has indicated that if seats remain unfilled after this round, further measures, such as a second stray vacancy allotment or college-level allotment, may be initiated.
