SOA University - Siksha 'O' Anusandhan

Siksha O Anusandhan University, previously referred to as SOA University, is a private deemed-to-be university. It has received an ‘A++’ Grade accreditation from NAAC and offers programs in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, and Hotel Management. The university is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), Government of India. The BSc (Hons.) Agriculture program has been accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and the faculty of Medical Science has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

SOA University BBSR comprises 10 constituent institutes, including ITER (Faculty of Engineering & Technology), IBCS (Faculty of Management Science), SPS (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences), SNC (Faculty of Nursing), among others. Below are some key highlights of SOA University:

• Popular courses: The university offers several popular programs, including BTech, BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and MBA at both UG and PG levels. Admission to these courses is based on entrance exams. For BTech, a valid SAAT or JEE Main score is required, while for MBA, the university accepts CAT scores in addition to SAAT. For UG Law courses, CLAT or SAAT scores are considered for admission. SAAT is conducted by SOA University.
• Accepted exams: Admissions to Siksha O Anusandhan courses are based on its own entrance test, SAAT, for UG & PG programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Agriculture, Law, Management, and Hotel Management. Additionally, it accepts national-level entrance exams such as NEET, CAT, XAT, MAT, GATE & GPAT, CLAT/SAT, etc., for specific courses.
• Fees: The total tuition fees at SOA University range from INR 70,000 to INR 1 Cr. The MSc in Agriculture (Plant Psychology) has the lowest fees, while courses like MD, MBBS, and MS can cost up to INR 1 Cr.
• Scholarships: Siksha O Anusandhan provides merit-based scholarships to deserving students. UG students achieving an overall of 80% marks in Class 10 & 12 are eligible for a monetary scholarship of INR 35,000 per annum for the entire duration of their course.
• Collaborations: The University has established MOUs with institutions such as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), USA, and Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE), Vietnam, to promote academic, research, and bilateral cooperation between the two institutions.
