The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to launch the registration process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027. Prospective candidates looking to secure admission into various AICTE-affiliated business schools across the country should monitor the official website, cmat.nta.nic.in, for the release of the application forms.
While there has been significant interest regarding the exact start date for the application window, the NTA has not yet issued a formal notification confirming the commencement of the registration process. Although initial expectations pointed toward a mid-October release, students are advised to rely solely on official updates posted on the NTA portal to avoid misinformation.
The NTA has already confirmed the examination date for CMAT 2027, which is set for February 7, 2027. This entrance test serves as a primary gateway for students seeking admission to postgraduate management programs. To be eligible to apply, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Furthermore, students currently in their final year of undergraduate studies are also permitted to submit their applications.
A notable aspect of the CMAT eligibility criteria is that there is no age restriction for candidates wishing to appear for the examination. This policy allows a diverse range of applicants, including working professionals and recent graduates, to pursue management education through the CMAT pathway.
The NTA has outlined a specific fee structure for the CMAT 2027 application process based on category and gender. For male candidates belonging to the General, EWS, or OBC-NCL categories, the application fee is set at INR 2,500. For female candidates in these same categories, the fee is reduced to INR 1,250.
Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories, regardless of gender, are required to pay an application fee of INR 1,250. Additionally, the fee for transgender candidates is also fixed at INR 1,250. As the registration window approaches, applicants are encouraged to organize all necessary documentation to ensure a smooth submission process once the portal goes live. Students should continue to check the official NTA website regularly for the most accurate and timely information regarding the application timeline.
