The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has issued clear guidance for candidates encountering technical difficulties while paying the application fee for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2027. With the registration window currently open, applicants are advised to remain calm if they experience payment failures, double deductions, or discrepancies in their application status on the official dashboard.

The application process for AILET 2027, which commenced on August 7, 2026, is scheduled to remain open until November 10, 2026. As the examination date of December 13, 2026, approaches, NLU Delhi emphasizes that a completed fee payment is mandatory for the issuance of the admit card. Applicants are encouraged to prepare all necessary documentation and identification in advance to ensure a smooth submission process and avoid last-minute technical complications.

Steps to Resolve Payment Discrepancies

Technical issues such as bank server timeouts, incorrect one-time passwords (OTP), or high traffic on the payment gateway can occasionally disrupt the transaction process. If a candidate encounters a situation where the application dashboard displays a pending payment status despite a successful transaction, or if an acknowledgement slip has been generated, the university advises a mandatory waiting period of at least 24 hours. This allows the system time to reconcile the payment data and update the candidate's portal accordingly.

Should the payment status remain unchanged after the 24-hour window, candidates are instructed to contact the NLU Delhi support team via email at ailetsupport@nludelhi.ac.in for further assistance. In instances where a payment failure occurs and funds are deducted from the applicant's account, they should wait for 72 hours for a potential automatic refund. If the amount is not returned within this timeframe, candidates should contact their respective banks, provide their transaction ID, and request the initiation of a formal dispute.

Application Fee Structure and Submission Guidelines

The application fee for AILET 2027 is set at INR 3,000 for General, OBC, EWS, and Foreign National candidates, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay INR 1,000. Women candidates and those from SC/ST categories who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) criteria are exempt from the application fee. It is important to note that once a payment is successfully processed, it is non-refundable.

All applications must be submitted exclusively through the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. There is no provision for offline submission of the AILET 2027 application form. Candidates are reminded that the application is considered complete only after the fee payment is successfully recorded, which is a prerequisite for appearing in the entrance examination.
