AIMA Expected to Announce MAT December 2026 Exam Schedule Soon

The All India Management Association (AIMA) is preparing to release the examination schedule and application details for the upcoming Management Aptitude Test (MAT) December 2026 session. Following the conclusion of the September testing phase, prospective candidates are awaiting the official announcement, which is anticipated to arrive by the last week of September 2026.

Once the official notification is released, the application portal is expected to open simultaneously, allowing candidates to register for the final MAT session of the year. The MAT is conducted four times annually, providing multiple opportunities for management aspirants to secure scores accepted by over 700 MBA institutions across India.

MAT December 2026 Exam Structure and Key Details

For the December session, AIMA will continue to offer the examination in two distinct formats: the Paper Based Test (PBT) and the Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates have the flexibility to register for either mode or opt for both if they wish to improve their performance. It is important to note that the two sessions will be held on separate dates, each with its own specific registration deadline and individual admit card issuance.

The examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions to be completed within a two-hour duration. The test is divided into five sections: Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and the Economic and Business Environment. Each section contains 30 questions. The marking scheme awards one mark for every correct answer, while a penalty of 0.25 marks is applied for each incorrect response; unanswered questions receive no marks.

Registration and Admission Guidelines

The application window for the MAT is typically open for a duration of two months. Regarding the fee structure, candidates are required to pay INR 2,300 for a single mode of examination, while those opting for both PBT and CBT modes must pay a fee of INR 4,000. The test is administered across nearly 30 cities nationwide.

Candidates who have previously appeared for earlier MAT sessions remain eligible to register for the December 2026 exam if they intend to enhance their scores. Following the examination, the selection process for participating management colleges generally involves further stages, including Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
