The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has officially announced a delay in the publication of the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round seat allotment results. Candidates who participated in the choice filling and locking process for MBBS and BDS admissions are currently awaiting a revised schedule from the authorities.
The seat allotment list was originally slated for release on October 21, 2026. However, the DME has postponed the announcement without providing a specific reason for the change. As of now, students are advised to monitor the official DME Assam website for the latest updates regarding the new result declaration date.
Despite the delay in the result announcement, the broader admission timeline remains a point of focus for applicants. The physical verification of documents and the subsequent reporting process at the allotted medical and dental institutions are currently scheduled to take place between October 25 and October 26, 2026. Given this tight window, it is anticipated that the DME will release the allotment results shortly to ensure students have sufficient time to complete the necessary formalities.
Once the results are published, candidates will be able to access the official portal to check their allotment status using their NEET roll numbers. Those who have been assigned a seat will be required to log in to the system to download their official allotment letter. This document is mandatory for the physical reporting process, and students must present it alongside their original academic credentials when visiting their designated colleges for final admission verification.
