The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the schedule for the 2027 sent-up examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. These mandatory assessments serve as a critical precursor to the annual board examinations, allowing students to gauge their academic readiness and familiarize themselves with the official testing format.

According to the notification, the intermediate (Class 12) sent-up examinations are scheduled to begin on November 19, 2026, and will conclude on November 28, 2026. For matriculation (Class 10) students, the examinations will run from November 23, 2026, through November 27, 2026. All examinations will be held in two daily shifts: the first shift from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, and the second shift from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.

Examination Requirements and Eligibility

Participation in the sent-up examination is a compulsory requirement for all regular students. The board has clarified that these exams are essential for determining eligibility for the final annual board examinations. Students who fail to appear for the sent-up exams or do not achieve a passing grade will not be issued admit cards for the final board exams. However, students registered specifically for compartment or improvement categories are exempt from this requirement.

The board conducts these tests in an offline, pen-and-paper format. For the matriculation exams, students will utilize both OMR sheets for multiple-choice questions and standard answer booklets for descriptive responses. Students are advised to arrive at their designated examination centers at least 20 to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure a smooth entry process.

Exam Schedule Overview

The Class 12 schedule spans a variety of streams, beginning on November 19 with subjects including Physics, Philosophy, and Entrepreneurship in the first shift, and Political Science and Accountancy in the second. The examinations continue through November 28, covering a wide range of elective and vocational subjects. The Class 10 schedule begins on November 23 with Mother Tongue and Second Indian Language papers, concluding on November 27 with elective and vocational trade subjects.

As the examination dates approach, the board encourages students to focus their final preparation on reviewing previously studied topics and practicing with past question papers to better understand the exam structure. While the official dates for the final annual board examinations in 2027 are expected to be announced in November, they are tentatively anticipated to take place in February 2027, with practical exams for Class 10 scheduled for January 2027.
