The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the extended registration window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session today, September 1, 2026. This final opportunity was provided to accommodate candidates who were unable to complete their applications during the initial registration period, which originally closed on June 10.

Prospective candidates who have not yet submitted their forms are advised to visit the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in to finalize their registration. It is important to note that this extension applies only to new applicants; those who successfully registered during the initial phase are not required to submit a new application.

Registration Process and Fee Structure

To complete the application process, candidates must navigate to the official portal and select the link designated for CTET 2026 applications. The process involves initiating a new registration, acknowledging the provided instructions, filling out the detailed application form, uploading the necessary documentation, and completing the fee payment. The application is only considered submitted once the fee has been successfully processed.

The examination fee is structured based on the category of the candidate and the number of papers selected. For General and Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) candidates, the fee is set at INR 1,000 for a single paper and INR 1,200 for both papers. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories are required to pay INR 500 for one paper or INR 600 for both papers.
