The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has officially announced the schedule for the fourth round of counselling for the COMEDK UGET 2026 engineering admissions. This final round is crucial for candidates seeking to secure a seat in their desired engineering programs. The choice-filling process will commence on August 26, 2026, at 4 PM, allowing eligible candidates to modify their preferences before the final seat allotment.
The choice-filling window for Round 4 will remain open until August 28, 2026, at 4 PM. Following this period, the seat allotment results will be released on September 1, 2026. Candidates will then have the opportunity to make decisions regarding their allotments and complete the fee payment process, which will be available until September 3, 2026, at 2 PM. It is essential for candidates to adhere to these timelines to ensure their participation in the counselling process.
Round 4 serves as the General Merit (GM) final counselling round, specifically designed for candidates who were not allotted seats in the previous rounds. Additionally, candidates with an Accept & Upgrade or Reject & Upgrade status may also participate, provided they comply with the established counselling rules. Those who wish to withdraw from the process can do so during the designated window, while candidates who choose to continue must accept and freeze their allotted seats once they are assigned.
It is important for candidates to exercise caution when filling out their choices for Round 4, as there will be no option for seat cancellation after this round. COMEDK has emphasized that candidates who are allotted seats under the upgrade categories must report to their designated colleges. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of fees and other penalties, in accordance with the counselling regulations.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to carefully review their college and branch preferences before submitting their choice forms for Round 4. The allotment will be determined based on the candidates' ranks, their preferences, and the availability of seats. This final round represents a critical opportunity for candidates to secure their desired placements in engineering programs across Karnataka.
