Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi has officially announced a special walk-in admission drive scheduled for September to fill vacant seats across its various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This initiative is designed to accommodate students who have not yet secured a place in the university for the current academic year, including those who did not appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

The university has outlined a specific timeline for this drive to ensure an orderly process for all applicants. While the university will prioritize candidates who participated in the CUET, non-CUET applicants are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the necessary academic requirements for their chosen courses. The university has clarified that for those without CUET scores, the merit list will be determined based on the marks or grades obtained in their last qualifying examination—specifically, Class 12 results for undergraduate programmes and undergraduate degree marks for postgraduate courses.

Schedule and Application Process for Special Admission Drive

The special admission drive is set to commence on September 1, exclusively for SC and ST candidates across all available UG and PG programmes. Following this, the university will open the process for PG programmes for candidates of all categories on September 2, while the drive for UG programmes for all categories will take place on September 3. Candidates who participated in earlier admission rounds but did not finalize their enrollment will be given priority, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and seats remain available.

To participate, candidates must be physically present on the university campus between 9 am and 1 pm on their respective designated days to register and submit their applications. The university will publish the merit list by 4:30 pm on the same day. Shortlisted candidates are required to complete their fee payment and finalize all necessary admission formalities immediately following the announcement of the list.

Required Documentation and Eligibility Guidelines

Prospective students are advised to bring a comprehensive set of documents to the campus to facilitate the verification process. Required items include self-attested copies of CUET scorecards (if applicable), recent photographs, valid identity and address proof, as well as original academic certificates and mark sheets. The university has emphasized that applications containing incomplete documentation or missing information will not be considered for admission.

By opening these seats to both CUET and non-CUET candidates, the university aims to ensure that all academic positions are filled efficiently. Applicants are encouraged to arrive promptly during the specified registration window to ensure their documents are processed within the day's timeline.
