The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) is currently in the midst of conducting its October 2026 secondary examinations for Haryana Open School (HOS) students. The testing period, which commenced on October 1, serves as a critical opportunity for candidates appearing for re-appear, CTP, OCTP, compartment, EIOP, improvement, and additional subject papers. The examinations are scheduled to continue through October 13, when the final paper in Home Science is set to take place.
Students participating in these sessions are required to adhere to a specific afternoon schedule, with most examinations running from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Certain optional subjects have a shorter duration, concluding at 4:30 PM. The board has ensured that both Academic and Open School students follow the same examination dates and paper structures, maintaining consistency across the board's secondary assessment framework.
To ensure a smooth testing process, the BSEH has issued clear directives regarding documentation and conduct. Candidates are required to present a colour printout of their admit card, which was made available on the official website, bseh.org.in, starting September 22. In addition to the admit card, which must be printed on A4 size paper, students are mandated to carry their original Aadhaar card to the examination centre for verification purposes. The board has explicitly stated that no modifications to photographs or signatures will be permitted once the examination cycle has begun.
Strict protocols are in place regarding prohibited items, with mobile phones and calculators strictly forbidden inside the examination halls. Candidates are advised to arrive at their designated centres at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each paper. The board has also highlighted that impersonation—the act of writing an exam on behalf of another student—is a serious offence that may result in the filing of an FIR.
The board has established specific provisions for differently abled candidates to ensure equitable testing conditions. These students are granted an additional 20 minutes for every hour of the examination duration. Furthermore, the provision for a scribe is available, provided the candidate presents a CMO-certified disability certificate or a UDID card. The examination centre is responsible for arranging a writer one hour before the exam, following the necessary verification of the candidate's medical documentation.
For students requiring further assistance or clarification regarding the ongoing examination process, the board has provided dedicated support channels. Queries can be directed to the HOS branch via WhatsApp at 8816840349 or through the board’s official telephone lines at 01664-244171 to 244176, using extension 387. The examination series will officially conclude on October 13 with the Home Science paper.
