The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is conducting the final paper of the CA Foundation September 2026 session today. Paper 4, which marks the conclusion of this examination cycle, is scheduled to take place between 2 PM and 4 PM across various designated examination centres nationwide.

Students appearing for today’s assessment were advised to arrive at their respective centres by 12 PM to ensure sufficient time for the mandatory identification and verification processes. As the examination concludes, the focus for candidates now shifts toward the evaluation phase and the subsequent release of results by the institute.

Post-Examination Procedures and Result Expectations

Following the successful completion of all four papers, the ICAI is expected to declare the results for the September 2026 session tentatively by the end of next month. Once the official announcement is made, candidates will be able to access their individual scorecards, the overall pass percentage, and the list of toppers directly through the official ICAI website at icai.org.

Candidates who successfully meet the minimum qualifying marks criteria will become eligible to register for the CA Intermediate examination. For those who may not clear the September session, the ICAI provides options for subsequent attempts. Students may apply for the upcoming CA Foundation January 2027 session, provided they maintain valid registration status with the institute.

Guidelines for Candidates and Future Sessions

Throughout the September 2026 examination period, the ICAI maintained strict protocols regarding entry and documentation. Candidates were required to carry two A4-sized colour printouts of their admit card, an original government-issued photo identification—such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, passport, or driving license—and a calculator. The institute emphasized that digital copies of identification or admit cards were not accepted at examination centres.

While a grace period of 15 minutes for late entry was permitted for all papers, the institute consistently advised students to arrive early to avoid any potential disruptions. Looking ahead, the ICAI has also initiated planning for the next cycle, with preparations underway for the January 2027 session, including the scheduling of Live Virtual Classes for subjects such as Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude, and Business Economics.
