The Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has officially announced the counselling schedule for the sixth and seventh rounds of the 2026 UP Polytechnic admissions. This announcement comes as part of the third phase of counselling aimed at qualified candidates who have yet to secure admission. The counselling process is open to candidates from various groups, including A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1 to K8, and L, allowing them to participate in these additional rounds.
The upcoming rounds are crucial for candidates seeking admission into diploma programmes through JEECUP. The counselling process encompasses several key steps, including choice filling, seat allotment, fee payment, document verification, and final reporting at the respective institutes to confirm admission. Notably, the schedule specifies that the 'Float' option will not be available during these additional rounds, which may impact candidates' decision-making.
For Round 6, the choice filling period is set from August 21 to August 23, 2026, followed by seat allotment on August 24. Candidates will have from August 25 to August 28 to complete the freeze option and fee payment, while document verification will occur from August 25 to August 29, concluding at 6 PM. The last date for reporting to the respective institutes is August 31, 2026. Round 7 will commence with choice filling from August 31 to September 2, with seat allotment scheduled for September 3.
In Round 7, candidates must complete the security and counselling fee payment between September 4 and September 7, with document verification taking place from September 5 to September 8, also concluding at 6 PM. The last date for admitted seat withdrawal is September 9, and candidates must report to their institutes by September 10, 2026. A seat acceptance and counselling fee of Rs. 3,250 is required for candidates who wish to proceed with their allotted seats.
It is important for candidates to adhere to the specified deadlines for fee payment and document verification, as failure to do so will result in the loss of their allotted seats and ineligibility for subsequent counselling stages. Candidates who have already completed document verification up to Round 5 are exempt from undergoing this process again if they secure a seat in Round 6.
