The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially released the post-allotment schedule for the first round of Karnataka PGCET 2026 counselling. Following the publication of seat allotment results for MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech, and M.Arch programmes on September 25, 2026, candidates are now required to follow a structured timeline to finalise their admissions.

To ensure the admission process proceeds without delay, the KEA has directed all participating institutions to remain operational throughout the counselling period, including Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted holidays. Candidates who have been allocated seats are advised to adhere strictly to the deadlines set for fee payment, documentation, and physical reporting to their respective colleges.

Admission Process and Key Deadlines

The admission process is divided into three distinct phases. First, candidates must complete the payment of their prescribed tuition and admission fees. This payment window is scheduled to open on September 29, 2026, and will remain active until October 3, 2026. Payments must be processed through the designated banking channels during standard operational hours.

Once the payment is successfully completed, candidates are required to log in to the official KEA portal to download their Seat Confirmation Slip. This facility will be available to students until October 4, 2026. The final step involves reporting in person to the allotted college. During this visit, students must present their confirmation slip along with all necessary original documents to verify their eligibility. The deadline for completing this final reporting process is October 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Eligibility and Institutional Guidelines

The KEA has clarified that final admission remains subject to the academic eligibility criteria established by the respective universities and the competent authorities governing postgraduate admissions. Students are encouraged to ensure they meet all necessary requirements before reporting to their assigned institutions.

Furthermore, the authority has confirmed that reservation benefits for SC, ST, and OBC categories are applicable exclusively to candidates from Karnataka who meet the specific criteria outlined in the official notification. As the October 5 deadline approaches, candidates are urged to complete their documentation and reporting formalities promptly to secure their seats for the 2026 academic session.
