The K J Somaiya Institute of Management, operating under the aegis of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, has officially commenced the admission process for the eighth cohort of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme tailored for working executives. Delivered in strategic partnership with TimesPro, this 15-month course is specifically structured to accommodate the schedules of mid-career professionals seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities and management expertise without interrupting their current employment.

Designed as a blended learning initiative, the programme emphasises the development of critical management competencies, including strategic decision-making, effective communication, and leadership. By integrating academic rigour with practical business insights, the curriculum aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to navigate the evolving demands of the modern corporate landscape and transition into more senior professional roles.

Programme Structure and Specialisation Options

The MBA for Working Executives is delivered through TimesPro’s Direct-to-Device platform, allowing students to attend live, interactive sessions conducted by faculty members and industry experts during weekends. To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, the programme spans three semesters and encompasses 600 hours of instruction. A notable feature of the course is a mandatory three-day campus immersion session held at the institute, providing students with the opportunity for face-to-face engagement.

The academic structure is divided into two phases: the initial two terms focus on foundational management subjects, while the third trimester is dedicated to specialisation. Eligibility Criteria and Professional Profile

To be considered for admission, applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Candidates holding professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or CS, and who have achieved at least 50% aggregate marks post-graduation, are also eligible to apply. A mandatory requirement for all prospective students is a minimum of three years of full-time work experience.
