The registration window for the KMAT 2026 entrance examination has been officially extended, providing additional time for prospective candidates to submit their applications. According to the latest update, students now have until September 6, 2026, to complete their registration process for both MBA and MCA programmes.
In addition to the revised application deadline, the examination authorities have announced a new date for the entrance test. The KMAT 2026 is now scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The examination will be held in an online format, and candidates are encouraged to ensure they have stable internet connectivity well in advance of their scheduled shift.
The examination will be held in two distinct shifts on September 20. Students appearing for the MCA entrance test are scheduled to take the exam from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the MBA entrance test will take place in the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Candidates are advised to log in at least 30 minutes before the start of their respective sessions.
To register, applicants must visit the official KMAT website at kmatindia.com. The application process requires candidates to fill out a single form for either course, selecting their preferred programme during the submission. Applicants should have several documents ready, including their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, graduation certificates, proof of date of birth, address proof, and any relevant caste category certificates. Additionally, candidates will need a scanned passport-size photograph, a digital signature, and payment credentials such as a credit card, debit card, or net banking details to complete the registration fee payment.
With the exam date now set for September 20, candidates are encouraged to structure their study routines by focusing on the official KMAT syllabus. Experts suggest that students balance their preparation by allocating time to both their strengths and weaknesses, while incorporating regular mock tests to refine time management skills. Reviewing previous years' question papers is also recommended to gain familiarity with the exam pattern and difficulty level.
While the registration and exam dates have been finalised, the schedule for the release of admit cards and mock tests remains pending. These are tentatively expected to be announced in the first week of September 2026. Once released, candidates will be required to download their admit cards, as this document is mandatory for entry into the examination. Students are advised to monitor the official portal regularly for these upcoming notifications.
