The Maharashtra State CET Cell has officially announced the schedule for the fourth and final round of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for MBA and MMS programmes for the 2026 academic session. This concluding round marks the final opportunity for candidates to secure a seat in management institutions across the state, as the admission process is set to close following the declaration of these results.
Candidates who have yet to be allotted a seat in their preferred college, or those who previously opted for the betterment process, are eligible to participate in this final phase. The process relies on the availability of seats remaining vacant in Maharashtra-based management colleges after the completion of the first three rounds of counselling.
The admission process for the final round begins with the release of the provisional vacant seat list, which is scheduled for August 28, 2026. Following the publication of this list, eligible candidates are required to fill and confirm their option forms through their official CAP login portals. This window for submitting and confirming options will remain open from August 29 until August 31, 2026.
It is essential for candidates to note that the confirmation of the option form is a mandatory step. Failure to complete this process within the specified timeframe will render candidates ineligible for seat allotment in this final round. The Maharashtra State CET Cell will subsequently process the data and release the final seat allotment results on September 3, 2026.
Once the seat allotment list for Round 4 is published, the admission process for the 2026 academic year will officially conclude. Candidates who receive an allotment must formally accept the offer by logging into their candidate portal and completing the acceptance form. A mandatory confirmation fee of INR 1000 must be paid to secure the seat.
After completing the online acceptance and fee payment, candidates are required to visit their allotted institute in person to finalise their admission formalities. As this is the final round of the counselling process, the allotment provided on September 3 will be considered final for all participating students. Previous rounds of the MAH CET MBA CAP were conducted throughout August, with the first round results released on August 2, followed by the second and third rounds on August 12 and August 24, respectively.
