MCC Extends NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round Registration Deadline

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially updated the schedule for the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round, providing candidates with additional time to complete their applications. According to the latest notice, the registration window for this final stage of the undergraduate medical counselling process has been extended, allowing more students to participate in the seat allocation process.

Eligible candidates now have until 4 PM on October 16, 2026, to complete their registration. This extension is part of a broader adjustment to the counselling timeline, ensuring that all administrative formalities are managed effectively before the final seat allotment begins.

Updated Schedule and Key Deadlines

Following the registration extension, the MCC has also updated the deadlines for subsequent steps in the counselling process. Candidates must complete their fee payments by 6 PM on October 16, 2026. The window for choice filling remains open until 11:55 PM on the same day, with the choice locking facility becoming available from 7 PM until the 11:55 PM deadline.

Once the registration and preference-filling phases conclude, the MCC will initiate the seat allotment processing, which is scheduled to take place over two days, from October 17 to October 18, 2026. The final seat allotment results for the stray vacancy round are slated for release on October 19, 2026. Following the declaration of results, successful candidates will be required to report to their respective allotted medical institutes between October 19 and October 26, 2026.

Candidates who have not yet completed their registration are advised to visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in to finalize their applications. To participate, students should navigate to the UG Medical Counselling section and select the registration link for NEET UG 2026. After logging in with their credentials, candidates must enter the necessary details, pay the required counselling fee, and complete the choice-filling process.
