The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the schedule for the second round of NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates seeking admission to All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed, and Central Universities can begin their registration and fee payment process starting September 3, 2026. This phase of the counselling process is a critical step for students aiming to secure medical seats across the country.

Alongside the registration process, the committee will open the window for choice filling on the same day. Aspiring medical students are required to complete these procedures through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. The registration window will remain open until September 8, while the deadline for submitting and locking choices is set for September 9, 2026.

Key Dates and Counselling Timeline

Following the conclusion of the registration and choice filling period, the MCC will proceed with the seat allotment process. The internal processing of seat allocations is scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10. The final results for the second round of seat allotment are expected to be declared on September 11, 2026. Once the results are published, successful candidates will be required to report to their allotted institutions for admission between September 12 and 18. The verification of joined candidates by the respective authorities is slated for September 19.

For those preparing for the process, the seat matrix is scheduled to be released between September 1 and 2. It is important to note that the counselling process for state-level seats is scheduled to commence separately on September 7. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal regularly for any updates regarding the seat matrix or procedural changes.

Steps to Complete Registration

To participate in the second round, candidates must navigate to the official MCC website and select the UG Medical Counselling section. From there, they should click on the link for new registration for the 2026 session. The process requires candidates to provide their NEET roll number and password to access the application form. After filling in the necessary details and uploading any required documentation, candidates must submit the form to finalize their application. Ensuring that all information is accurate before submission is essential to avoid complications during the seat allotment phase.
