The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially initiated the registration process for the second round of NEET MDS 2026 counselling. This phase is crucial for candidates seeking admission to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats across various institutions in the country.
Candidates who are eligible to participate in this round are advised to complete their registration formalities through the official MCC website. The committee has set September 19, 2026, as the final date for online registration, and applicants are encouraged to submit their details well in advance to avoid any potential technical issues during the final hours.
Following the registration window, the process moves into the critical phase of choice filling and locking. The window for candidates to select their preferred colleges and specialisations opened on September 16 and will remain active until September 20, 2026. It is important to note that the choice locking facility is scheduled to be available from 4 PM on September 19 until 10 AM on September 20, 2026.
The payment facility for the counselling process is also set to close on September 19, 2026. Once the choice locking period concludes, the MCC will process the data to determine seat allocations. The official results for the second round of seat allotment are scheduled to be released on September 23, 2026. Successful candidates will then be required to complete the reporting and joining process at their allotted institutions between September 24 and September 30, 2026.
All participants are reminded to monitor the official MCC portal for any updates regarding the counselling schedule. The entire process is conducted in an online format, requiring candidates to manage their registration, payment, and preference selection through the designated portal. Ensuring that all choices are locked within the specified timeframe is essential for inclusion in the seat allotment process.
Candidates should verify their eligibility and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared for the reporting phase, which follows the announcement of the allotment results. By adhering to the official timeline provided by the MCC, students can navigate the second round of the NEET MDS 2026 admission process effectively.
