The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the choice-filling process for the third round of NEET MDS Counselling 2026. Candidates seeking admission into Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes can now log in to the official portal at mcc.nic.in to select their preferred colleges and specialisations.
This phase of the counselling process is critical for eligible applicants aiming to secure a seat in their desired dental institutions. The window for submitting preferences opened on October 23, 2026, and will remain accessible to candidates for the next several days. Participants are advised to carefully review the available seat matrix before finalising their selections to ensure their choices align with their academic goals and merit standing.
According to the official schedule released by the MCC, the deadline for choice filling is October 28, 2026, with the portal closing at 11:55 PM. It is mandatory for candidates to lock their choices within the specified timeframe to be considered for the seat allotment process. The choice-locking facility will be active on October 28, 2026, starting from 2:00 PM until the 11:55 PM deadline.
Once the submission window closes, the MCC will conduct the seat allotment processing from October 29 to October 30, 2026. This process takes into account the candidate's merit, the preferences submitted, seat availability, and applicable reservation criteria. The final results for the third round of seat allotment are scheduled to be published on October 31, 2026.
To participate in this round, candidates must visit the official MCC website and navigate to the MDS Counselling 2026 section. After logging in with their registered credentials, applicants can access the choice-filling facility. The process involves selecting preferred colleges and courses, arranging them in order of priority, and ensuring that the choices are locked before the deadline.
Following the announcement of the seat allotment results on October 31, 2026, successful candidates will be required to proceed with the reporting and admission formalities. The designated period for reporting to the allotted institutes is set from November 1 to November 7, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to monitor the official website regularly for any further updates or notifications regarding the admission process.
