NEET PG 2026 Results Declared: How to Download Scorecard and Merit List

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially released the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026. Candidates who participated in the examination can now access their results and download the merit list in PDF format directly from the official websites, nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in.

The results have been published as a public document, allowing candidates to verify their qualifying status without the need for login credentials to view the merit list PDF. However, for those wishing to download their individual scorecards, the use of specific login details remains a mandatory requirement. The board has clarified that results will not be dispatched to candidates via post or email, making the official web portal the sole source for accessing these documents.

Understanding the Counselling Process and Cut-off Criteria

Qualifying for the NEET PG 2026 examination is the primary prerequisite for participating in the subsequent seat allotment and counselling rounds. Only those candidates who have secured the minimum required cut-off marks for their respective categories are eligible to proceed. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for managing the online counselling process for All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while state-level authorities will oversee the allocation for state quota seats.

To participate in the counselling process, candidates must register on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, where they will be required to declare and lock their preferences for specific medical colleges and postgraduate courses. The final seat allotment will be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s NEET PG rank, the availability of seats in the chosen institutions, and the preferences submitted during the registration window.

The NBEMS has established specific cut-off scores for different categories to determine eligibility. For the current cycle, the cut-off marks are set at 276 for the Unreserved (UR) category, 235 for SC/ST/OBC candidates, and 255 for the UR-PWD category. These scores serve as the minimum threshold for admission into MD and MS programs across medical institutions in India.
