SVKM’s NMIMS has officially announced an extension for the application window for its MBA programmes for the 2027 academic session. Prospective students who are interested in pursuing management studies at the university now have until October 31, 2026, to submit their online applications. This latest update follows two previous adjustments to the timeline, as the university had initially set the deadline for October 10 before moving it to October 25.
Candidates planning to apply must ensure their forms are submitted through the official NMIMS portal at nmat.nmims.edu. It is important for applicants to distinguish between the NMAT examination registration and the specific NMIMS application process. While the NMAT 2026 registration window officially closed on October 25, the current extension pertains exclusively to the NMIMS MBA admission application process. Completing the entrance exam registration does not automatically register a candidate for the university’s MBA programmes; a separate application on the NMIMS website is mandatory.
The university offers a variety of two-year management programmes, including the flagship MBA, as well as specialised courses in Human Resources, Pharmaceutical Management, Business Analytics, and Digital Transformation. These programmes are distributed across several campuses, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, and Ahmedabad, with specialised courses primarily hosted at the Mumbai campus.
To be considered for admission, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent. For those applying to the Business Analytics or Digital Transformation streams, the university requires that applicants have completed Mathematics or Statistics as a compulsory subject during their undergraduate studies. While the university notes that two years of relevant industry experience is considered desirable, it is not a mandatory requirement for admission.
Regarding the selection criteria, NMIMS has clarified that it only considers the score from a candidate's first NMAT attempt. Scores obtained from any subsequent retakes are not taken into account during the shortlisting process. Additionally, the university does not accept scores from online home-proctored tests. Applicants are encouraged to finalise their submissions before the revised October 31 deadline to ensure their candidacy is processed for the upcoming academic intake.
