The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released its revised examination calendar for the 2027 academic year. This updated schedule provides students and stakeholders with confirmed dates for several major competitive examinations, including JEE Main, CUET PG, UGC NET, and NIFT, extending through April 2027.
The release of this calendar is a critical update for aspirants planning their preparation for the upcoming year. By consolidating the timelines for multiple national-level entrance tests, the NTA aims to provide clarity for students navigating the competitive landscape. Candidates are encouraged to review the updated schedule on the official NTA website to ensure their study plans align with the newly announced dates.
A significant portion of the revised calendar focuses on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027. The NTA has confirmed that both sessions of the exam will be conducted over a six-day period. The first session is scheduled to take place on January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2027. Following this, the second session is slated for April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2027.
Registration for the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 is currently underway. Interested candidates must submit their applications by the primary deadline of November 22, 2026. For those who miss this initial window, the NTA has provided a late registration option, allowing submissions until November 26, 2026, subject to the payment of a late fee of Rs 500.
While the revised calendar provides a structured timeline, the NTA has noted that the removal of previously designated buffer days does not guarantee that these dates are entirely fixed. The agency maintains the authority to adjust the examination schedule should administrative, academic, statutory, logistical, or other unforeseen circumstances arise.
Students are advised to monitor the official NTA portal regularly for any further updates or notifications regarding their respective examinations. Maintaining awareness of these potential changes is essential for all candidates preparing for the 2027 testing cycle.
