NTA Issues Official Guidelines for Obtaining Duplicate Scorecards

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially outlined the process for candidates to obtain duplicate scorecards for examinations conducted by the body, including major tests such as JEE, NEET, UGC NET, and CSIR NET. This announcement provides a clear pathway for students who have misplaced, damaged, or had their original scorecards stolen, ensuring they can retrieve their essential academic records.

According to the official notice, the NTA has streamlined the retrieval process to prioritize digital accessibility. Before initiating a formal request, the agency advises all candidates to first verify the availability of their documents through their DigiLocker accounts. If the scorecard is accessible via this platform, candidates can download it directly, which serves as a valid record and eliminates the need for any further application or administrative intervention.

Application Process for Non-Available Scorecards

For candidates whose records are not available on DigiLocker, the NTA has established a specific application procedure. Applicants are required to download and complete the form designated as Annexure-1, which was released in the official NTA notification dated September 17, 2026. This form must be filled out with accurate personal and examination details to facilitate the verification process.

Once the form is completed, candidates must attach all supporting documentation as specified in the official public notice. The NTA has provided two primary channels for submitting these requests. Applications can be sent electronically via email to result@nta.gov.in. Alternatively, candidates may submit their physical application package through Registered Post or Speed Post addressed to the Director (Examinations), National Testing Agency, 5th Floor, Government of India Press Building, Minto Road, New Delhi - 110002.

The NTA has emphasized that the issuance of a duplicate scorecard is contingent upon a thorough verification of internal records. Consequently, it is critical for candidates to ensure that their application form is complete and that all required enclosures are included before submission. Incomplete applications may lead to delays in the processing of the request.
