The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has taken decisive action in the ongoing Punjab NEET UG 2026 counselling process by disqualifying 25 applicants from the medical and dental admission cycle. These candidates have been officially debarred from participating in the state quota seat allocation for the 2026-27 academic session due to non-compliance with established residency and admission regulations.

According to the university, the debarred individuals were found to have violated state quota guidelines by simultaneously applying for counselling in other states while seeking admission under the 85% Punjab state quota. This practice contravenes the specific eligibility criteria set for the state's medical and dental programmes. The university has published the full list of these disqualified candidates on its official website, bfuhs.ggsmch.org, to ensure transparency in the admission process.

Round 1 Seat Allotment and Reporting Procedures

Alongside the announcement regarding the debarred candidates, BFUHS has released the results for the first round of the Punjab NEET UG 2026 counselling. The final seat allotment list, which confirms the allocation of over 2,000 MBBS seats, is now accessible to the public in PDF format through the official university portal. Candidates who have been successfully allotted seats are required to log in to their respective student accounts to download their official seat allotment letters.

Following the receipt of their allotment letters, candidates must proceed with the mandatory admission formalities. The university has set a strict deadline for this phase of the process, requiring all shortlisted students to physically report to their designated medical or dental colleges by September 5, 2026. During this reporting period, students are expected to present all original educational certificates and valid identity documentation to confirm their admission. Failure to complete these requirements by the specified date may result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
