The State Bank of India (SBI) is set to close the online application window for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) today, August 31, 2026. Aspiring candidates who have not yet completed their submissions are advised to visit the official SBI careers portal at sbi.bank.in to finalize their applications before the deadline expires.

This recruitment drive, conducted under advertisement number CRPD/CR/2026-27/17, aims to fill a total of 9,124 positions. This figure includes 7,680 regular vacancies and 1,444 backlog vacancies. Applicants are reminded that they are permitted to apply for vacancies in only one State or Union Territory.

Application Requirements and Fee Structure

To successfully register, candidates must provide specific documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, a scanned signature, a left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration. The application process also requires candidates to select their preferred examination centre and state or union territory of choice.

Regarding the application fee, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an amount of INR 750. This fee is non-refundable once the transaction is completed. Conversely, candidates from the SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Disabled Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

Language Proficiency and Selection Process

A critical component of the eligibility criteria is proficiency in the local language of the chosen State or Union Territory. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the specified language. Those who have not studied the local language as part of their formal education will be required to undergo a language test after clearing the Main Examination. Failure to qualify for this language test will result in the candidate not being offered an appointment.

The selection process for the Junior Associate role involves a preliminary examination and a main examination. The preliminary exam consists of sections on Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude, totaling 100 marks. The main examination, which carries 200 marks, covers General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. Candidates who successfully qualify for the main examination will then be invited to participate in the Language Proficiency Test. All applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions promptly to avoid any last-minute technical issues on the official portal.
