The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) in Tamil Nadu has officially released the state-level rank list for NEET PG 2026. This announcement marks a significant step in the postgraduate medical admission process, providing clarity for candidates seeking admission into MD, MS, and DNB courses across the state.
The newly published merit lists cover both Government Quota (GQ) and Management Quota (MQ) seats. Candidates who participated in the application process can now view their respective rankings by visiting the official portal at tnmedicalselection.net. These lists are essential for students to determine their standing and prepare for the upcoming choice-filling phase of the admission cycle.
According to the data released by the authorities, a total of 7,952 candidates have been ranked for government quota seats, which include various MD, MS, and DNB programs. In parallel, the management quota list features 3,643 candidates. The publication of these lists allows applicants to assess their competitive position, which is a vital prerequisite for finalizing college preferences before the formal option entry process commences.
The provisional merit list also highlights top-performing candidates. Dr. Rajesh Kumar V, representing the MBC & DNC category, has secured the first rank with a score of 705.64. He is followed by Dr. Akash S, also from the MBC & DNC category, who achieved the second rank with 641.92 marks.
With the rank lists now accessible, the Selection Committee is expected to announce the schedule for option entry in the near future. Candidates are advised to keep their documentation in order to ensure a smooth transition to the next stage of the process. This includes having their NEET PG scorecards, relevant category certificates, and medical registration documents ready for the mandatory verification phase.
Securing a place on the rank list is a preliminary step; final seat allotment will depend on the successful completion of the option entry process and subsequent document verification. Students should monitor the official website regularly for the forthcoming schedule regarding seat selection and counseling updates.
