WBCHSE Semester III Exams 2027 Begin Today: Check Revised Schedule and Guidelines

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) officially commenced the Higher Secondary (HS) Semester III examinations for the 2027 academic session today, September 21. Students across the state are appearing for the first set of papers as the board initiates this crucial phase of the examination cycle, which is scheduled to conclude on October 14.

This year’s examination process follows a revised timeline, which the board implemented to accommodate local bye-elections and the observance of Karam Puja. Candidates who have already downloaded their updated admit cards are advised to ensure they carry both the document and a valid school identity proof to their respective examination centres to avoid any entry issues.

Examination Schedule and Shift Timings

The WBCHSE has structured the examination into two distinct time slots to manage the diverse range of subjects. Most papers are scheduled for the morning shift, running from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, providing students with a duration of one hour and 30 minutes. A specific afternoon shift, lasting one hour, has been designated for October 13 to accommodate various vocational subjects.

The examination cycle begins with language papers, including Bengali (A), English (A), Hindi (A), and several others. Following the opening day, the schedule continues with core subjects such as Economics, Physics, Accountancy, and Computer Science throughout late September. October will see the conclusion of the testing period, with the final examinations for Biological Science, Political Science, and Costing and Taxation taking place on October 14.

As the exams proceed, the board has emphasised the necessity of adhering to all official protocols. Students must strictly follow the timings mentioned on their admit cards. The board has confirmed that the results for these Semester III examinations are expected to be declared between October and November 2026.
