The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially commenced the registration and choice-filling process for the first round of JELET 2026 counselling. Candidates who have qualified for the examination can now access the official portal at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet to participate in the seat allocation process for the current academic year.
This initial phase of the counselling process is strictly time-bound, with the board setting a deadline of September 6 for all registrations. Officials have emphasized that the online portal is the exclusive method for participation, and no alternative modes of registration will be entertained. Participants are encouraged to prepare their necessary documentation, including marksheets, in anticipation of the upcoming verification stages.
During the registration phase, candidates are required to log in to the official website to submit their preferred colleges and courses. The board has issued a cautionary note regarding the choice-filling procedure, advising students to exercise extreme care when selecting their preferences. Once the choices have been submitted, they cannot be edited or corrected, making it essential for applicants to review their selections thoroughly before finalizing their submission.
Following the conclusion of the registration period, the board will proceed with the seat allotment for Round 1, which is scheduled to be released on September 8. Successful candidates will then have until September 10 to complete the payment of the seat acceptance fee. The counselling process for JELET 2026 will span three distinct rounds, with fresh registration and choice-filling opportunities available for each subsequent stage.
The schedule for the second round of counselling is set to begin on September 11, with seat allotment results expected on September 15. The final round of the process will commence on September 18, with the seat allotment for this concluding phase slated for September 22. Candidates are advised to monitor the official WBJEEB website regularly to stay updated on the specific timelines for fee payments and document verification throughout these three rounds.
