University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was founded in 1917 in Bengaluru by Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya. This government institution offers BArch and six engineering disciplines: Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Science, and Civil Engineering. It holds a Grade ‘A’ accreditation from NAAC. Affiliated with Bangalore University, it consists of two campuses:

• KR Circle Campus: This campus houses the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering.
• Jnanabharathi Campus: This campus includes the departments of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

UVCE boasts modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, accommodation facilities, and a library. It has a cooperative society to cater to the stationery requirements of students and staff. Currently, UVCE is receiving funding from the World Bank under the TEQIP project aimed at enhancing the quality of technical education through various initiatives and infrastructural improvements.
